    Hi All,

I recently adopted a 40days old Labrador Pup. I am working in Kuwait and stayed with it for about 15days. I have dewormed it twice and also have done the first course of Vaccination.

My pup had few Ticks and Fleas when I first took it home. I then applied NOTIX powder, after which things were under control. We used to let the dog access each and every place in our house.

Now after 10days I am back in Kuwait, my wife is saying that the Dog has again lot of Fleas. The worst part is that she says there are lot of Fleas inside our house. Now she wants me to give back the puppy, which i do not like.

It would be great if anybody could provide me some good tips to tackle the situation. Also share, if have encountered such a situation before.

Are Labradors prone to Ticks and Fleas?

    Thanks.

If its a problem beyond control, I would suggest a trip to the vet for a treatment. Once that is done, regular usage of a anti-ticks collar would work great.
I have a Lab too and have been using the collar for a long time now. So far I've never had any ticks/fleas problem with my dog...

Thanks Mr. Gautham, for your valuable suggestion. Will try that. Could Anti-Ticks collar be purchased in local pharmacies? If so how much do they cost?

a visit to the vet first and then a tick collar or spot-on treatment like Protektor. there are also some anti-tick/flea sprays available at pet pharmacy you should use those they are better than Notix.

also get a flea comb and comb the puppy often.
