i dont know much but you will need a crate for Daisy. pets are usually kept in the goods carriage. you will have to pay some amount. contact the railways for the price and booking. you will have to hand over Daisy in her crate at the station near the goods carriage and after you get off at your destination you will have to go back there and collect Daisy. :) thats all i know about.

Yes Jishnu I have some experience.
    1. You can only travel first class - coupe. It is preferable if u travel in a 2 - berth coupe. Even then, you have to take the consent of all travelers in the coupe. If they have objection - u cant travel with dog. The best method is to buy tickets for the 2 birth coupe also called honeymoon coupe where and 2 people need to travel with the dog as the dog cannot be left alone in case u want to use the loo. Tickets for the dog will have to be purchased in the last minutes before departure.

what ! I am surprised u r asking this question. Its the easiest mode of travel. My dog Cocoa has travelled with me all over India since me n my husband are travel n camping freaks. She has gone as far up north as Leh and Ladakh and down south to Kerala backwaters with me in our car. She's even been to Goa seal watching in a speed boat!!

Some dogs can get motion sickness - for which there are medicines recc by the vet. you may have to give it half an hour in advance to your travel. I suggest you watch for the first travel - dogs normally do not get motion sickness - ofcourse there are exceptions. Take all necc provisions for the dog -(food- preferably dry, towel, sheet/quilt and drinking water for yr pet.

Let me assure you yr dog will love travelling in the car. If only Cocoa could speak to narrate her travel experiences!!!!!!!

Keep a bottle of water and a small bowl with you even if you are taking your dog for a short car drive. His mouth will get dry very fast because he will be sticking his head out of the window.

Pets are only allowed in the first class, also only if the other passengers are ok with it. Make sure to contact the railway authorities!

make sure you supply her with enough food and water....and toys. an automatic food and water dispensers that you can fix onto the crate are best.

i bought a large crate and dispensers just in case we had to travel anywhere by any means. i think every dog parent should own these. i have added the pics of Yuki's crate and food (left), water (right) dispensers below. :)

Travelling with your animal is such a great idea but you have to prepare well for it. Because treating your animal to seat in a vehicle for a long time is critical task and you have to well manage it, otherwise any accident will be happen.
